In a time when we are focused on the development of the concrete world the group has fallen short to the needs of the individual. Here Is a new project in Florida the building of a prominant university, a community, Called ‘Ave Maria’. The Founder of Dominos Pizza sold out in the late 1990′s and started the construction of a new town that would have at its center a Catholic University and have all ammenities at walking distance. The city is structured on the faith of good neighbours, agriculture preservation and above all Learning. We often put the environmment on the back burner when talking about the new networked society, however, ignorance in this case could be devesating. Without the preservation of the carbon World we will have a lot more to worry about than opening our next email. I think the founders of this community understand the importance of ag preservation and have made it a part of their agenda. Balancing environment and economy. The two founders created a city of old Italian charm, its magnificent. I think it offers an alternative to a future obsessed with individualism. A future that embraces a cold and detached cyborg take over. The people prevail! Perhaps there is still some hope beyond the machine.
